According to a Nasscom survey release recently, employment in IT sector hired almost 380,000 freshmen in FY22, and more than 75% of Gen Z students are eager to work in the field in the near future. Findings show that significant fresher recruiting over the past few years in the technology industry has increased Gen Z’s proportion to 20–22% and Millennials’ share to 68–70% of the entire employment base in FY22. This trend is anticipated to continue until 2030, when India’s Gen Z and Millennial population share would be 50%, greater than the global average of 46%.
